September 6, 2006 -- We're sure John Mayer had fun with Jessica Simpson while it lasted. Last week, Us Weekly proclaimed they were dating. People magazine even went so far as to quote a Simpson pal as saying they were "in love." But Mayer has already dumped Simpson, because, insiders say, she and her pals are too loose-lipped for the reclusive Mayer. One person in the Mayer camp told Us Weekly the relationship "was a 2 [that] her camp spun into an 11 . . . [Mayer] thinks it's desperate . . . an attempt to stay in the spotlight."
This is sad. I hope she at least got to hit his shit first. Tragic!
